Technical field

The invention refers to a new material for bandaging areas of the human body, and specifically to a new fabric 100% hypoallergenic and cotton uniform tape with specific dimensions and with easy application even in the most difficult places.

Relevant state of the art

Double taping consists of one or more materials and is still used on the human body, on the skin, to improve the stability of a joint for proprioceptive reasons after orthopedic surgery and for psychological reasons after long-term rehabilitation in sports injuries. In recent years it has been used in sports venues, rehabilitation centers, hospitals and physical therapy centers.

In the case of stabilizing a joint the tape aims by mechanical effect to position the denied surfaces in such a way as to anatomically stabilize the joint.

This stabilization can act as an effective guardian, to create the necessary musculoskeletal conditions and to ensure the desired movement on the one hand, but also to favorably modify the mechanodynamic relationships and kinetic patterns of the musculoskeletal system.

Placing the tape over a muscle surface can inhibit or facilitate muscle activation by stimulating skin sensory receptors which in turn will affect motor neuron activity and these in turn will trigger muscle inhibition via nociceptors in the spinal cord level.

According to the invention, this stabilization is achieved with the tape of the type mentioned in the Technical Field. It is an adhesive tape as thin as the thickness of the skin. It is 100% cotton with transverse fibers and its glue is anti-allergic and friendly to the skin and the environment, 0.2-0.3 mm thick, 3.5 cm wide. 4 cm. and 5 cm and with a length of 5m, 10m, 25m up to 30 m depending on its use. It has two forms, 100% and 90% rigid. The double taping tape is covered along its entire length by special paper that protects the fabric with its adhesive. During application it adapts even to strong curves of the human body, it is easily cut with scissors as well as by hand. It is permeable to air, water, water vapor and radiation so it does not create a problem for the skin. It can remain on the surface of the skin from 3-5 days without losing its effect. It is not affected by weather conditions and does not lose its properties. It is produced in the form of a roll and in various colors.

The essence of the invention is as follows:

The previous material (leucotape) is 100% rigid and cannot by itself be placed directly on the skin, because its glue contains zinc oxide, a material that is dangerous when it comes into contact with the skin's surface. For this reason, before this tape (leucotape) an anti-allergic gauze (Fixomull) is placed on the skin and after the tape (leucotape) containing zinc oxide. This is also the most important drawback in relation to the invention. In addition, the previous material is 100% rigid and without a margin of elasticity even minimal. Therefore, it cannot have the same fit on curved parts of the body.

The most important of the invention is the replacement of the rigid 100% material (leucotape) and the gauze (Fixomull) with a single material.

Will this single material be 3.5cm wide? 4 cm? 5cm? and length 5m, 10m, 25m, and up to 50m, and at the same time it will be produced in 2 forms of elasticity:

a) in the form of 100% rigid

b) in the form of 90% rigid

Its elasticity will be completely different from the other forms of elastic materials and tapes we know (kinisiotaping, elastic taping, etc.). That is why its application avoids the large frictions created by the classic "tape" on the various anatomical points of the musculoskeletal system of the human body.
