Abstract

Σύνθεση και χαρακτηρισμός ενός Νανο-Οξαλικού Πυριτικού πηκτώματος με δυνατότητα χρήσης του ως υλικό στερέωσης και επιφανειακής προστασίας των σύγχρονων, παραδοσιακών και αρχαιολογικών ανόργανων πορωδών δομικών υλικών (φυσικοί λίθοι, κονιάματα, επιχρίσματα), τα οποία έχουν υποστεί διάβρωση λόγω φυσικοχημικών ή και βιολογικών παραγόντων. Σύνθεση αρχικά του μονοένυδρου νανο-οξαλικού ασβεστίου, μετέπειτα ανάμειξή του με τετρααιθοξυσιλάνιο σε αιθυλική αλκοόλη παρουσία μικρής ποσότητας τασιενεργού ουσίας n-οκτυλαμίνης, υδρόλυση και πολυμερισμός του λύματος (Νανο-Οξαλικό Πυριτικό κολλοειδές αιώρημα) για δημιουργία ενός Νανο-Οξαλικού Πυριτικού πηκτώματος παρουσία υγρασίας περιβάλλοντος που δεν παρουσιάζει ρωγμές. Η σύνθεση της παρούσας εφεύρεσης διαφοροποιείται έναντι πολλών εμπορικών διαθέσιμων στερεωτικών, ως προς α) τις πρώτες ύλες, β) τη διαδικασία σύνθεσής της γ) την επίδρασή της στο περιβάλλον και την υγεία των ανθρώπων, δ) το κόστος παρασκευής της, ε) τις φυσικοχημικές και μηχανικές της ιδιότητες. Η αποτίμηση του υλικού Νανο-Οξαλικού Πυριτικού πηκτώματος γίνεται μετά την κατεργασία πορωδών λίθων με το Νανο-Οξαλικό Πυριτικό κολλοειδές αιώρημα και την ολοκλήρωση του πολυμερισμού του. Εμπλουτίζεται με την εφεύρεση αυτή το επιστημονικό πεδίο της συντήρησης και αποκατάστασης μνημείων, ενώ το συγκεκριμένο Νανο-Οξαλικό Πυριτικό πήκτωμα μπορεί να εφαρμοστεί και σε σύγχρονα δομικά υλικά, οπότε με την συμβατή δομή του με αυτά συμβάλλει στην αειφορία της κατασκευής.
