Abstract

Αντέννες φτιαγμένες από μεταλλικά νανοσωματίδια χρησιμοποιούνται για τη συλλογή την ηλιακής ενέργειας και τη μετατροπή της σε ηλεκτρική ενέργεια. Τα μεταλλικά νανοσωματίδια είναι φτιαγμένα σε διαφορετικά στρώματα και μεταξύ τους υπάρχει ένα λεπτό στρώμα φωτοβολταϊκού υλικού. Το ηλεκτρικό πεδίο αυξάνεται σημαντικά στην περιοχή μεταξύ των μεταλλικών νανοσωματιδίων, δημιουργούνται ηλεκτρόνια και οπές στο φωτοβολταϊκό στρώμα, με τελικό αποτέλεσμα τη δημιουργία συνεχούς ρεύματος το οποίο συλλέγεται με ένα δίκτυο μεταλλικών συρμάτων.
