Abstract

It is disclosed a new flexible intra-ocular tonometer placed on the intra-ocular lens for measuring the intra-ocular pressure through a flexible conductible pressure sensor (fig.1), for reading the values of the intra-ocular pressure via a system incorporated to the eyeglasses frame (fig.5) and for registering the pressure on a 24-hour basis via the electronic pressure register located on the frame of the eyeglasses (5,7). This electronic intra-ocular pressure- measuring system is inductively supplied with power via the external coil 5,3 which is supplied with alternate current 5,1 and placed at little distance from the eye. The intra-ocular tonometer should be placed either at the rear chamber of the eye or at the front chamber thereof bysurgical operation. It is used for the precarious diagnosis and prevention of the open-angle glaucoma, for the follow-up of its evolution as well as for the study of medicines, the theurapetic action of which consists in the intra-ocular pressure reduction.
