Abstract

Παρααορτική αντλία αντιωθήσεως ελεγχόμενης ροής, η οποία θα χρησιμοποιηθεί για μηχανική υποστήριξη της κυκλοφορίας ασθενών που πάσχουν από τελικού σταδίου καρδιακή ανεπάρκεια. Η παρααορτική αντλία αντιωθήσεως ελεγχόμενης ροής αποτελείται από έναν ελλειψοειδή θάλαμο (1) που χωρίζεται μέσω ελαστικής μεμβράνης (3) σε δύο χώρους, ένας εκ των οποίων πληρούται με αίμα ενώ ο έτερος με αέριο. Ο χώρος του αερίου, είτε ενιαίος είτε διαμεριζόμενος, αυξομειώνεται με ανομοιόμορφο τρόπο ο οποίος επιτυγχάνεται διά της παροχής αερίου μέσω οπών διαφορετικής διαμέτρου (7, 8). Αποτέλεσμα είναι η αποφυγή της στροβιλώδους και η επίτευξη της ομαλής ροής του αίματος εντός της παρααορτικής αντλίας ελαχιστοποιώντας κατά αυτόν το τρόπο την πιθανότητα αιμόλυσης και θρόμβωσης. Η αντλία συνεργάζεται με σύστημα εύρωστου και προσαρμοσμένου ελέγχου το οποίο υλοποιεί αλγορίθμους χαρτογράφησης της λειτουργίας της συσκευής ώστε να γίνεται δυνατός ο αυτόματος έλεγχος της με βάση κλινικά στοιχεία πραγματικού χρόνου.
