Abstract

The present invention relates to peptides being endogenically or synthetically or molecularly produced by recombinant DNA techniques in expression systems of bacteria and mammals. These peptides which are determined as parstatin represent molecules detached and freed from the mammals PAR-1 receptor after the proteolytic actuation of this last. The parstatin inhibits the multiplication, migration and differentiation of endothelial cells as well as the angiogenesis process as a whole. The parstatin peptides, the sections of the parstatin molecule, the parstatin analogs and derivatives are all applied for the therapy of diseases and troubles relating to the angiogenesis and the operation of the endothelial cells; the monoclonic or polyclonic antibodies and oligonucleotides which are selectively bound to the identified by them parstatin and its analogs constitute a method for the diagnosis and angiogenesis-related therapy.
