Abstract

Preparation of three-dimensional, open-cell, metal sponges by impregnating a polyurethane foam and respective related materials in a thick mixture of metal powder and salts, which after drying at ambient temperature is inserted in a thermal treatment furnace for the sublimation of the organic material and then, under inert gas, further treatment for sintering and improving the properties of the produced structure.
