Abstract

he invention includes description of the synthesis of neurotensin(7-13) analogs, coupled to 1,4,8,11-tetraazaundecane derivatives to enable labeling with technetium-99m (or other technetium radionuclides) and/or rhenium-188 (or other rhenium radionuclides) aiming toward their application in the targeted diagnostic imaging and staging of NTS-1-R-positive neoplasms in man employing SPECT (technetium-99m etc.) or PET (technetium-94m etc.) technology, or eventually in targeted radioendotherapy (rhenium-188 etc.). In addition, the method for labeling neurotensin (7-13) analogs modified with 1,4,8,11-tetraazaundecane derivatives with technetium-99m (or other technetium radionuclides) and/or rhenium-188 (or other rhenium radionuclides) is described. The invention includes also the radiochemical evaluation of the radiolabeled peptide analogs obtained from the above steps. Eventually, the invention includes detailed preclinical biological evaluation of the above analogs: - in NTS1-R positive cell lines - experimental animal models and study of their metabolism.
