Abstract

he invention relates to a metal form able to float and submerge with accuracy into water at predetermined places so that the setting of concrete into water (e.g. quay walls, bridge foundation pedestals) can be achieved without the presence of water. The figures 1,2,3, 4 depict the component parts of the metal mould: the A-shaped floating portion 1 comprising the side and peripheral walls of the construction, the water tanks 2, the additional metal elements 3 placed inside the metal form to give the laid concrete the desired shape, the concrete 4, the hydraulic feet 5 for the slight displacements of the metal mould toward the precise desired place and the stabilization thereof on the bottom, the sand fill laid peripherally to make the construction tight, the foundation layer 7 consisted of stones or gravels to better the foundation of the concrete, the sand channel(tunnel) 8 improving tightness, the couplings-hinges 9 connecting the prow to the members and facilitating the position of the construction at the desired place, the stabilizing beams 10 protecting the metal mould from deformations, the existing concrete 11, the engine room wherein the water pumps and the mechanisms initiating the hydraulic feet are located, and the control monitoring the aforementioned machines.
