Abstract
Method and equipment for the separation of the olive kernels produced in an olive oil mill into woody part and cellulosic material, achieved by heating the drier (2) which features heating units (2.1.1 and 2.1.2.) which serve simultaneously as walls for its three sides and inside it, conveyor belts or screws (2.3) for transporting the olive kernels which is directly supplied from the olive mill to the drier (2) and is transported through it and separated into the woody part and the cellulosic material due to the high temeprature, where the woody part (2.4) flows directly out of the drier with the use of an elevator (2.8) and is stored, whereas the cellulosic material flows out via a duct (2.5) with the assistance of a suction system (3.1) in and passing via the cyclone (3). Furthermore, with this method, a reduction of liquid effluents of the olive mill is achieved, should they be used instead of clean water for heating the heating units (2.1.1 and 2.1.2) of the drier.
