Εντελώς αυτόματα από αισ?ητήρια - ανιχνευτές ή , σε περίπτωση σύγκρουσης, από ειδικό ρυ?μιζόμενο αδρανειακό διακόπτη β. Ημιαυτόματα με το πάτημα ενός μπουτόν, γ. Μέσω τηλεχειρισμού, δ. Εντελώς χειροκίνητα. Οταν το όλο σύστημα ή κάποιο από τα υποσυστήματα του τε?εί σε λειτουργία, γίνονται συγχρόνως οι εξής ενέργειες:α. Διακόπτεται η παροχή ηλεκτρικού ρέυματος προς όλες τις καταναλώσεις.β. Διακόπτεται η παροχή καυσίμου προς τον κινητήρα.γ. Ψεκάζονται με πυροσβεστικό υγρό οι χώροι που καλύπτονται από το σύστημα.δ.
