Abstract
Η μαρμαροσύνθεση (5) αποτελεί τρόπο συνδέσεως δύο ετερόγενων υλικών, μάρμαρο-πολυεστέρας, εις τρόπον ώστε αυτά ν' αποτελούν ένα ενιαίο και ομοιγενές σύνολο (5). Επί μαρμαρίνης (1) πλακός πάχους 0,02 m και επί των άκρων αυτής εφαρμόζεται μαρμάρινο (2) πλαίσιο πάχους 0,01 m προς δημιουργίαν σκαφίδος, εντός της οποίας επικολλούνται τεμάχια μαρμάρου (3) διαφόρων χρωμάτων και σχημάτων, εν αποστάσει μεταξύ τους, τα δε κενά πληρούνται με χρωματιστό πολυεστέρα (4) εις τρόπον ώστε μάρμαρα και πολυεστέρας ν' αποτελέσουν ένα σύνολο (5). Κατόπιν η επιφάνεια λιένεται επί του τριβείου μέχρις ότου μάρμαρο και πολυεστέρας αποκτήσουν το μέγιστο δυνατό γυάλισμα. Βασικά προβλήματα που επιλύθηκαν είναι τόσο η ομοιογένεια στο συντελεστή διαστολής-συστολής, όσο και η σύμφυση των δύο ετερογένων υλικών. Η λύση πέτυχε χάρις στην σωστή αναλογία των τριών βασικών υλικών του πολυεστέρα (επιταχυντής- κοβάλτιο-πολυεστέρας) και στην επιλογή της θερμοκρασίας του χώρου 20 βαθμούς Κελσίου. Χρήσεις: Τραπέζια, Διακοσμήσεις εσωτερικών χώρων, κατοικιών, δημοσίων κτηρίων, τραπεζών, κ.λ.π. (ορθομαρμάρωσις). ω
