Abstract

998,269. Extrusion apparatus. REIFENHAUSER G.m.b.H. July 11, 1962, No. 26696/62. Addition to 930,660. Heading B5A. The extrusion apparatus claimed in Claim 1 of the parent Specification is modified such that in place of the extruding nozzle and central mandrel an extrusion head 2 is provided having a slot nozzle 4 for extrusion of the hollow body, one or more additional nozzles 7 being surrounded by the slot nozzle 4 and one or more warm presses 1 being provided for feeding into a common channel in the extrusion head 2 the thermoplastic material for extrusion from the slot nozzle. The worm presses 1 are arranged at the side faces of the extrusion head and approximately at right angles to the direction of extrusion. The extrusion head 2 may have a central aperture which on one side is in direct communication with the interior of the extruded hollow body and is open on the other side and widened conically, the said additional nozzle or nozzles being disposed in said aperture. Alternatively the nozzle or nozzles 7 may be replaced by a pivotably arranged nozzle 11, Fig. 2 (not shown).
