Abstract
Compounds of the general formula <FORM:0997038/C2/1> in which X is chlorine, bromine, or iodine and n is 4 to 8 are prepared by reacting a polymethyleneimine having 6 to 10 carbon atoms with a halo acetyl chloride.ALSO:Herbicidal compositions contain, as active ingredient, a compound of the general formula <FORM:0997038/A5-A6/1> in which X is chlorine, bromine, or iodine and n is 4 to 8, together with a solid or aqueous liquid diluent. The solid diluent is preferably granular to form a free-flowing composition. When water is the diluent, the composition is either an aqueous dispersion or an aqueous emulsion of the active ingredient dissolved in an organic solvent. A surface-active agent may also be added.
