Abstract

996,942. Upholstery. VITAFOAM Ltd. Aug. 23, 1963, No. 33389/63. Addition to 904,978. Heading A4M. A cushion support as described in the parent Specification includes three or more peripheral attachment means 11 each having at least three arms, such as 14, 15 and 16, between and around which the material of the support 10 may flow during moulding to bond the attachment means 11 within the peripheral region. In one embodiment (Figs 1, 2) attachment means comprises a clip 11 folded to provide two parallel arms 14, 16 and an inclined arm 15 which provide wedge portions therebetween, the arms having holes 19 for additional strength in their bond with the support 10 and holes 18 which receive hooks 13 for attachment to a frame 12. Other embodiments with three or four arms are described. In a modification (Fig. 6), one arm 16 may project beyond the support for fixing, e.g. by screws or nails, to a frame.
