Abstract

996,314. Toothed gearing. PER-CO MATERIALSERVICE. Sept. 13, 1963 [Sept. 19, 1962], No. 36149/63. Heading F2Q. A device for setting the obliquity of the laths of a venetian blind comprises flexible cords 19, 20 attached to the ends of parallel racks 13, 14 which are adapted to be moved longitudinally in opposite directions by rotation of a gear-wheel 16 arranged between them. The racks 13, 14 are guided in parallel grooves 11, 12 in a housing 10, and the cords 19, 20 are located in individual channels in a flexible tube 18. The gear-wheel 16 may be rotated by a hand wheel 23 adapted to engage a square recess in the gear-wheel 16, which is provided with a spring- pressed locking member 25.
