Abstract

Halogenated elastomers are cured in the presence of trithiocyanuric acid or trithian. Specified elastomers are butyl rubber and neoprene. Trithiocyanuric acid may be used in combination with a stannous compound such as stannous chloride while zinc oxide may be used with zinc chloride. The usual compounding agents may be present.
