Abstract

993,814. Keyboard switches. C. M. G. DU T. DE ROUGEMONT, and M. STAPFER. June 12, 1963 [June 16, 1962], No. 23314/63. Heading H2B. A plurality of various push-button operated switches 21, 22, 23, are assembled on a single channel-shaped carrier member 6 by means of projections 12 engaged in bayonet slots 14 in the flanges of the carrier member and a lug 20 on the latter is bent down to retain the switches in position against one another. A gap is left between the front of the switch bodies and the base of the channel, a spring- urged bar being slidable therein to engage notches 32 in some of the operating members 9 to provide interlock. Switches not thus interlocked have independent locking means (not described). A lug 20 may be provided adjacent each slot 14 such that switches may be individually retained in position with spacing therebetween (Fig. 4, not shown).
