Abstract

Conjugated diolefine having 4 to 6 carbon atoms in the molecule are polymerized by the exposure of an aqueous emulsion of a monomer kept in a state of agitation to ionizing radiation of intensity less than 104 rads per hour. The intensity is preferably between 103 and 104 rads per hour and the diolefins butadiene, isoprene and piperylene.
