A swinging-frame eddy-current dynamometer of the kind described in the parent Specification having a partly hollow rotor (7, 9) for the circulation of a coolant fluid entering and leaving through coaxial tubes 8, 15 extending through one trunnion bearing 5, is characterized by the torqueshaft 11 being partly hollow and in Communication with the hollow of the rotor whereby the other trunnion 5 is cooled. The rotor plate 7, rotating between magnets 6, has bolted to it two dishshaped annular plates 9, one plate being secured to a tube 13 extending through one trunnion, the other being secured to the shaft 11, which has a blind bore. The plate 7 has holes 16 for the circulation of fluid.
