Abstract

984,972. Agitating mixing vessels. GES. FUR HUTTENWERKSANLAGEN. Oct. 2, 1962 [Dec. 7, 1961], No. 37394/62. Heading B1C. A mixing vessel 1 is mounted in a frame 5 supported on not less than three parallel vertical cranks 7 whereby the vessel is given a circular planetary motion in a horizontal plane ; the vessel is inserted sufficiently deeply in the frame so that its centre of gravity lies in the plane of the frame. The frame may be triangular as shown, and the vessel detachably mounted therein by tapered sockets 4 receiving pins 3 of complementary cross-section. In another embodiment, Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown), the frame is U-shaped and the vessel is secured therein and arranged for discharge by tilting, being locked in the operative position by a pin detent.
