Abstract
984,748. Telegraphy. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. Nov. 29, 1962, No. 45123/62. Drawings to Specification. Heading H4P. A telegraph system comprises a number of transmitters connected by individual transmission paths to a corresponding number of receivers. A single return channel is provided on which the return signals from the receivers are multiplexed. In a first embodiment the return signals at the receiver end of the transmission paths are stored, the several stores being read out cyclically. In a second embodiment, the receivers are connected directly to the return channel distributer, and each transmission path has a unit which responds to certain received signals to send a predetermined signal or message via the return channel to the transmitter from which the certain signals emanated.
