Abstract

984,323. Pipe joints. AEROTEC INDUSTRIES Inc. March 14, 1963, No. 10152/63. Heading F2G. [Also in Division B2] A metallic tube 14 of a centrifugal separator (see Division B2) is retained in an opening 12 in a supporting sheet 13 by means of a sealing ring 10 of hard elastomeric material having a circumferential groove in which the edge portion of the sheet around the opening is fitted. A pipe 17 having vanes 18 thereon is retained in the tube 14 by means of the widened end portions of the vanes resting upon a rounded flange 15 of the tube. The pipe 17 may be of hard elastomeric material and has a flanged extension 22 which is held in by means of a sealing ring of similar configuration in an opening in a supporting sheet 21.
