Abstract

983,970. Display stands; furniture joints. WILLIAM HAYETT Inc. April 10, 1963 [July 11, 1962], No. 14397/63. Headings A4H and A4W. A display stand comprises a plurality of panels 10, 10a, 10b releasably interconnected by discs 12, the latter having slots 18 extending from their peripheral edges and the panel edges being inserted into and frictionally held in the slots 18 which have parallel or, alternatively, inwardly converging sides 24. The panels 10, 10a, 10b comprise a layer 14 of plastic foam material sandwiched between thin layers 16 of sheet material, such as heavy paper, the panel edges being resiliently compressed when inserted in the slots 18.
