Abstract

983,398. Change-speed control. STANDARD MOTOR CO. Ltd. Feb. 4, 1964 [Feb. 5, 1963], No. 4596/63. Heading F2D. A change-speed selector fork 10 having two arms 11, 13 formed with a flat-sided hole 15 and a circular hole, respectively, receiving a selector rod 14, is locked to the rod by squeezing the arms towards each other, thus bending inwardly a hump 12 between the two arms to abut the rod, the flat 16 of the hole 15 then engaging a transverse slot 17 in the rod.
