982,863. Combine-harvesters. G. CLAAS. April 26, 1963 [July 12, 1962], No. 16547/63. Heading A1F. Relates to a combine harvester of the kind wherein the threshed grain is fed to a sorting device 18 and thence either to a grain tank or to a bagging station. According to the invention, the sorting device is arranged in the delivery duct leading to these two members and the duct branches beyond the sorting device, a flapvalve 38 is movable to close either branch 34, 35 at will. The sorting device comprises a rotating perforated cylinder 31 arranged within a housing 30 and having a relatively movable rotor 32 mounted within it. The valve 38 is hinged at the junction 39 of the two branches 34, 35, leading respectively to the bagging station and the grain-tank (Fig, 1, not shown). The position of the valve is controlled by a hook 40 and spring 43, the spring being selectively attachable to eyes 44, 45 on the two branches.
