Abstract

A stabilized composition comprises the dyestuff obtained by copperising the dye of the formula <FORM:0982735/D1-D2/1> and an amine of the formula <FORM:0982735/D1-D2/2> wherein R1 and R2 are H atoms, 1-3 C alkyl or 2-4 C hydroxyalkyl radicals and R3 is a 2-4 C hydroxyalkyl or 2-3 C carboxyalkyl radical, H2NC2H4(NHC2H4)nwhere n is 1, 2 or 3 or (R4)2NC2H4- where R4 is a 2-4 C hydroxyalkyl radical. Specified amines are ethanoldimethylamine, diethanolamine, diethanolmethylamine, diethanolethylamine, diethanolpropylamine, dipropanolamine, dibutanolamine, diethylenetriamine, triethylenetetramine, tetraethylenepentamine, tetraethanolethylenediamine, tetra (2-hydroxypropyl) ethylenediamine, tetra (hydroxybutyl) ethylenediamine, glycine, sarcosine and alanine. The amine may be present in an amount of 3-15% on the dry weight of dyestuff. In the specific embodiment of the present invention dianisidine is coupled with the 8-amino-1-naphthol-3, 6-disulphonic acid, copperised, filtered and washed, thereafter the dye is mixed with the desired amine. Examples are given.
