Abstract
A composition from which a biaxially oriented film may be made comprises a homogeneous mixture of a first film-forming polypropylene having an isotactic content of more than 82% by weight of mixture and a second film-forming polypropylene having an isotactic content of less than 82% by weight of mixture, said second film-forming polypropylene being present in an amount such that the isotactic content of said film-forming polypropylene mixture is from 40-82% by weight of mixture. Such a homogeneous mixture may have an isotactic content of 78% by weight of mixture and an atactic content of 22% by weight of mixture, said mixture comprising 75 parts by weight of a mixture of a first film-forming polypropylene having an isotactic content of 83% by weight of said first polypropylene and an atactic content of 17% by weight of said first polypropylene, and 25 parts by weight of a mixture of a second film-forming polypropylene having an isotactic content of 58% by weight of said second polypropylene and an atactic content of 42% by weight of said second polypropylene, respectively.
