982,464. Filters for liquids. AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS CO. Ltd. June 26, 1963 [June 28, 1962], No. 24908/62. Heading B1D. The housing 12, complete with filter element 13, may be released from the position shown in the head 10 by raising the housing, squeezing the resilient ring 28 to release it from groove 18 in head 10, and lowering the housing and the ring together. A notch 22 permits downward movement of handles 29. The ring 28 is retained around the narrower part of housing 12 between shoulder 26 and rib 27 after removal of the housing from the head. In the position of Fig. 1, the housing rests on ring 28 by shoulder 24, and ring 28 is retained by surface 25.
