The pointer 7 (Figs. 1 and 2) of an electric exposure meter built into a photographic camera is reflected into the field of view of a block form "Albada" finder 1-5 by means of an inclined plane mirror 6 cemented into a slot in the lower portion of the block 3 and a lens 9 arranged in the ray path succeeding the mirror 6 so that a virtual image of the pointer is formed substantially at infinity A follow-up pointer may also be reflected-in by the same means. The lens 9, of substantially rectangular shape, is cemented on the lower part of the plano-convex eye lens 4. In an alternative arrangement (Fig. 3), the inclined mirror 16 is cemented into the side of the central finder block 13 and a side strip 19 of the eye-lens 14 is itself ground so as to image the pointer 17 substantially at infinity as before. In a further modification (Fig. 4), a portion 31 of the central finder block 23 is cut out and the exposed portion 30 of the eyelens 24 here images the pointer at infinity. The portion 30 may be ground to a different radius of curvature to the main portion 240 of the eye-lens. Alternatively, a separate lens element may be cemented on to the surface 30 or on to the surface 32. If a plane block for carrying the finder frame 25 were provided in place of the plano-convex eye lens 24 then the lower portion of the block nearer the eye may be shaped to effect the required imaging (as in Fig. 3). In a further modification (Fig. 7 not shown), the cut-out is provided wholly within the central block and two lens elements are cemented or moulded (e.g. by pressure) on to the two lateral surfaces thereof. In the modification of Fig. 8 a lens element 112 of high refractive index is cemented into a slot in the lower part of . the eye lens 104. Alternatively (Fig. 9 not shown) the lens element may be cemented into a slot in the central finder block. The finder members may be formed of glass or synthetic material such as epoxide resin or ethoxylene resin.
