Method of producing voltages of different frequencies with a frequency spacing of # 1 characterized in that an oscillatory circuit 2, 3 tuned to frequency # 2 has its attenuation decreased periodically with the aid of a tunnel diode 1 which is driven at the frequeney # 1 and biased at a suitable working point so that during a portion of the period of the frequency # 1 oscillation takes place and during the other portion it is substantially short-circuited. The frequeney # 1 may be crystal controlled and frequency # 2 is absent from the output spectrum, Fig. 4. The choice of frequency # 2 and the keying ratio are used to set the harmonic energy in the desired frequency band.
