A device 11 for fixing chairs 11a, 11b or tables together in pairs or rows includes a male member 12 of metal rod, U-shaped and having a downwardly directed part and a bar 17, and female members 13, 14 of which the upper member 14 is U-shaped and the lower member 13 of bar form, the member 12 being passed between members 13, 14 so that part 17 engages beneath the bar 13.
