978,895. Endless conveyers. BRUYNZEEL SCHAVERIJ N.V. March 30, 1961, No. 11710/61. Headings B8A and B8S. Planks in a heap are conveyed one-by-one to a machine &c. (not shown) by an endless conveyer 1 which is constrained by chainwheels 4-8 to form with sides 10 a hopper. Slats 2 extending transversely of and secured to the series of laterally spaced chains forming the conveyer 1, engage a respective plank and push it past a station 13. At the latter, a pusher 17 is periodically reciprocated pneumatically or by means of a cam-shaft so as to displace any plank which is engaged by a plank already in engagement with a respective slat 2. The downwardly sloping run of the conveyer (to the left of Fig. 1) may alternatively be disposed horizontally (Fig. 3, not shown).
