Abstract
977,500. Track circuits. SOC. TECHNIQUE POUR L'INDUSTRIE NOUVELLE S.A. STIN. Dec. 3, 1963 [Jan. 24, 1963], No. 47642/63. Heading B7N. [Also in Division H3] A transistor oscillator for a railway track circuit has one electrode biased by a resistance potentiometer (e.g. 7, 8), and another by a potentiometer comprising a Zener diode 10 so that if the supply voltage rises due to failure of a stabilizing circuit such as 3 the oscillator output does not rise. In the circuit shown, the bias becomes such that oscillation ceases. The Zener diode potentiometer could alternatively be connected to the base.
