976,691. X-ray apparatus. SIEMENS REINIGER-WERKE A.G. July 25, 1963 [Aug. 9, 1962], No. 29563/63. Heading H5R. [Also in Division G2] In an X-ray examination apparatus provided with an image intensifier tube 7 and with image recording apparatus, e.g. photographic camera 17 or television pick-up tube 18, a set of housings for the image intensifier tube 7 are provided, one such housing being shown at 8 wherein each one of the housings is provided on its input side with like external parts IS for location in relation to the X-ray examina tion apparatus and is terminated on its output side by a lens 13 of such construction that the ratio of the size of the output image 14 of the tube to the focal length of the lens is at least approximately equal. It is stated that if a differing size of image intensifier tube is used, the use of its appropriate housing enables the same detecting/recording apparatus to be used without the need for the provision of several different size connecting elements between the image intensifier and the recording apparatus.
