Material is loaded from silo 3 into vehicle 1 by a screw conveyer 2 feeding to a screw conveyer 5, the latter serving to feed the material leftwards to discharge it into the vehicle through discharge openings 50. The casing of screw 2 is pivoted as shown to the vehicle and is stowable over support 4; the casing of screw 5 is carried by pivoted supports 11 so as to be stowable against the side of the vehicle; and openings 50 are controlled by slides 16.
