Abstract

Emulsions of polymers of ethylenically unsaturated compounds are flocculated by the addition of 0.5 to 5.0% by weight of methylol, ethylol, or propylol sulphonic acid. Exemplified polymers are copolymers of acrylonitrile with vinyl acetate or vinyl levulinate.
