Abstract
966,322. Holding tools. ROTOLIFT MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. June 12, 1962 [June 13, 1961], No. 21238/61. Heading B4W. [Also in Division F2] A tool for inserting a resilient nozzle-like gate member AG into a bore hole comprises two telescoping tubes B, C, the inner tube C being adapted to carry at its forward end the resilient gate member AG. The member AG is formed from a strip A having resilient tongues G projecting from one edge, the strip being formed into cylindrical shape by wrapping it around the tube inner B which has been temporarily removed from the outer tube C. The wrapped strip is introduced into either end of the outer tube C and the inner tube is withdrawn from the strip, reversed and inserted into the end of the tube C remote from the nozzle, the forward end of the inner tube being pushed to release the strip, the inner tube is pushed through and beyond the wrapped strip AG. further forward so that a flange D on the inner tube B acts on the lower edge of the strip and discharges it from the outer tube C.
