Fat liquoring of leather or skins includes the application of the reaction product of an epoxidized organic compound containing at least one C10-C26 hydrocarbon chain, e.g. oils, glycerides, esters and squalene, and a polybasic inorganic acid such as phosphoric, sulphuric or boric acid.
