B on a conveyer 64 are sprinkled with sugar from the perforated base of a container 1 having stirrers 9 and scrapers 10, which are moved intermittently, through gearing 13-14, by an electric motor 16. The distance between the container 1 and the biscuits &c. may be varied by adjusting screws 24, 25 on the container's scissor-type suspension 36-37, 46-47.
