964,200. Photographic shutters. AGFA A.G. July 10, 1962 [July 18, 1961], No. 26548/62. Addition to 964, 199. Heading G2A. A pivoted blade shutter has two blade rings movable in the same direction by means of a common drawing spring, a device for simultaneously releasing both rings and at least one retarding means arranged to co-operate with one of the two blade rings. In the embodiment shown the blades 5 are driven by an opening ring 4 and a closing ring 3 which are set by means of lever 17 co-operating with a pin 13 on ring 4 which in turn has a lug 12 co-operating with a pin 8 on ring 3. The rings are released by lever 23 being moved in the direction of arrow 45, and run down in the same direction until ring 3 is retarded by known means 29, 28, the relative movement thus produced between the rings causing the blades to open. Ring 4 is then stopped by lug 12 engaging a pin 16 and ring 3 continues to rotate relative to ring 4 to close the blades. The rings are driven by coil spring 60 which is connect ed to a swingle 63 which in turn is connected by a pivot 7 to ring 3 and by pin 6 and slot 62 to ring 4. The end 65 of spring 60 acts as an addition driving means on blade closing ring 3 after it has been, tensioned by the relative rotation of the rings which caused the blades to open.
