Cooling clothing comprises capillary fibres each attached to a layer of waterproof material at a predetermined distance apart on a permeable inner layer of cloth, all the fibres leading into a liquid filled reservoir in part of the clothing providing a cooling effect by the evaporation of liquid from the fibres. A jacket 1 made of permeable cloth has capillary fibres 2 secured by layers of glue 3 to the cloth the fibres being connected to a liquid reservoir 4. Specification 455,283 is referred to.
