962,382. Textile washing or treating drums. VEREINIGTE DEUTSCHE METALLWERKE A. G. March 15, 1963 [April 5, 1962], No. 10444/63. Headings D1A and D1L. A plastics drum for a washing machine or other textile treating apparatus is made of two identical parts each comprising an end 1, an enclosing wall 2 forming less than half a cylinder and, on the side of the end not associated with the enclosing wall, a bead-like reinforcement containing a groove 4. The two parts are assembled so that an end 5 of the wall 2 of one part fits into the groove 4 of the other part, and one pair of the edges of the two walls 2 welded at 7 leaving an opening on the other side of the cylinder.
