962,373. Electric tooth brushes. RONSON CORPORATION. Dec. 31, 1962, No. 49085/62. Heading A4K. In an electric tooth brush, a pin 46 is eccentrically mounted on boss 44 rotated by motor shaft 42 of a low voltage electric motor. The pin engages a slide block 48 mounted in slot 50 in plastic arm 52 which is formed by extruding plastic around metal shaft 54. Thus rotation of shaft 42 is converted to angular oscillation of shaft 54. A sliding switch button is provided. The motor 36 is energized from a step-down transformer and rectifier. The casing 18 is longitudinally divided into two sections which are joined by a continuous mating tongue and groove. The joint is sealed with a silicone compound.
