[Also in Division H2] The front panel of an operating gown is lined with a waterproof electrically conducting sheet 20 connected by electrically conducting strips 40 to similar sleeve linings 35 and conducting wrist strips 42 so that the gown is earthed by contact with the wearer. The conducting material may be thin sheeting of synthetic rubber made electrically conductive by suitable carbon impregnation.
