[Also in Group XVII] A high pressure electric lamp protective cover comprises a longitudinally split jacket 9 of mechanically strong pliable material which fits over and in close contact with a major portion of the lamp envelope and is provided with a zip fastener 11 along the edges splitting the jacket.
