[Also in Division F2] In a cyclometer-type indicating register having a transfer pinion arranged between two adjacent number wheels, the transfer pinion comprises driving teeth 13 and driven teeth 14 located on opposite sides of a central flange 12 and the numbers of teeth in the two sets have a common factor greater than unity, the teeth in one set being angularly displaced about the rotational axis of the pinion with respect to the teeth in the other set so that all the teeth of one set are out of alignment with all the teeth of the other set. The angular displacement is preferably seven degrees, and is said to result in an increase in the efficiency of torque transmission. The teeth 14 comprise four teeth 15 which project further than the others to co-operate with a locking ring. The teeth 13 are of epicycloid form, and the pinion consists of a plastic moulding.
