Abstract

959,967. Tracks for toy vehicles. MINIMODELS Ltd. April 23, 1963 [July 30, 1962], No. 29177/62. Heading A6S. A section of track for electrically driven vehicles comprises a base 1 of flexible plastics material having at each end both a tab 9 with a hole 11 therein and a projecting peg 10, so that when identical sections are placed together the tabs 9 extend beneath the base of the other section and grip the pegs 10 thereon. The holes in the tabs may have inwardly-projecting vanes 12 so that the pegs 10 are gripped. The electrical connections comprise a pair of rails 7 which are slid over projecting ribs 6, each side of a guide groove 5. Electrical connections thereto are effected by means of an attachment 19 secured to the underside of the track section element. Electrical connections between track elements are effected by extensions 18 of one only of each pair of the rails 7, the extension 18 connecting into the end of the next rail, part of the rib 6 being removed to permit entry of the extension 18. Thus, each rail 7 has a male and female end in opposite sense to the adjacent rail 7.
