Heading H4P The component pulses of a telegraph signal are transmitted over individual transmission paths, synchronizing pulses are derived from changes in state between one component pulse and the next on one path, and when at least one particular tolegraph signal, e.g. the idling signal, is transmitted it is followed by its complement or the pulses of the signal transmitted on different paths. The synchronizing pulses may be derived from all the signal paths through an OR gate, and the original signal and its modified form may be transmitted alternately.
