Abstract
959,400. Metal tubes. ESCHER WYSS A.G. Nov. 23, 1960 [Nov. 27, 1959], No. 40327/60. Heading F2P. A double-walled hollow body for the reception of a hot gaseous medium under pressure, in which a thermal insulating material 4 is placed between the inner and outer walls 1, and the inner wall is formed with apertures 3, has disposed between the material 4 and the inner wall 2 a filtering layer 5 of long-fibred mineral meshwork or woven fabric which is separated from the inner wall by a wire meshwork 6. As shown, two wire meshworks 6, 7 are provided between the layer 5 and the inner wall 2, the meshwork 7 having a smaller mesh width than the meshwork 6. A band 8 may be wound around the filtering layer 5 and one or more further layers of wire meshworks may be provided between the meshworks 6 and 7. The insulating material 4 is preferably of mineral wool.
